In his recent predictions for the Premier League title, renowned soccer pundit Carragher clearly identified Arsenal and Manchester City as the favorites to win the title this season. Despite Arsenal's excellent performances in the past two seasons, twice coming close to the Premier League title, Carragher believes that Manchester City, with its deep squad strength and many players capable of changing the course of the game, will once again be the biggest favorite to win the title.
Carragher highlighted the importance of core players such as De Bruyne, Harland, Phil Foden and B Seat in City's team, arguing that the presence of these players makes City's squad stronger compared to Arsenal's. He noted that while Saka is a great player, the likes of Havertz, Martinelli and Trossard are not good enough to compete with Arsenal's luxury attacking group. He pointed out that although Arsenal has a great player like Saka in the attacking end, but Havertz, Martinelli and Trossard are not good enough to compete with City's luxury attacking group in key moments.
Speaking about Arsenal's offensive line, Carragher bluntly stated that the Gunners are still lacking a special player in the offensive end who can decide the winner of the game. He believes that although Arsenal's attacking combination is already quite good, further reinforcements in the attacking end are needed to really shake up Manchester City's dominance.
