Last month, French star Paul Pouba was heavily suspended for four years for the crime of taking banned substances. However, recently, a Russian team invited him to join them and offered him a monthly salary of £1,167 (about HK$11,000), but Paul Pouba refused.

Broke Boys, the Russian team that made the offer, is not a professional team, but a local celebrity league with actors, internet stars and celebrities playing in the tournament, Broke Boys president Chaji Duzan told Turin Sporting Gazette: "You think I'm joking, but I did offer Paul Puba, but unfortunately he politely refused. Paul Puba is in a state of despair, he needs time to come to terms with the fact that he is one of the best players in the world".

The Broke Boys are reportedly offering a monthly salary of £1,167 and a mansion to live in. Paul Poubaie has appealed the suspension in the hope of shortening the sentence, and there are rumors that he will terminate his contract with Zuyuntas, or that he will retire early, all will have to wait for the outcome of the appeal.
