The Premier League match in the early hours of the 14th saw a 'fan encounter'. In the relegation battle between Bournemouth and Luton, Luton was leading 3-0 at half time, however, in the second half, Bournemouth scored 4 goals in a row to win. This made them the third team in Premier League history to lose by three goals at half-time and still win.
The game was originally played last December. At the time, Luton captain Lockyer suffered a heart attack during the game. After the game was halved, Lockyer resumed playing. Lockyer also attended the game to cheer on his teammates. In the first half, Luton was a formidable position. Leading 3-0 with Dardahey and Albini along with Buckley, it was reckoned that the tables were turned in the second half. Surangi chased a goal in the 50th minute and Sabanir and Anthony Schmean caught up with Lightning with a 3-3 success in the 60th minute. Anthony Schmeikan scored again seven minutes before the end of the game for a miraculous comeback win.
After Manchester United (v Tottenham) in 2001 and Wolves (v Leicester City) in 2003, Boneyard's miraculous comeback win was the third team in Premier League history to come back from at least three goals down at half-time to win the game. Lewes team leader Ivars said after the game, "It's a frustrating result but the only thing we can do is sort ourselves out, the next game is very important for us and we have to pick ourselves up as soon as possible.""
