The UEFA European Football Championship (English: UEFAEuropeanFootballChampionship, referred to as the European Championships, the European Cup, is a UEFA member countries to participate in the highest level of national soccer tournaments, in 1960 held the first, and held every four years thereafter.
The tournament was founded as the European Nations Cup (EuropeanNationsCup), which was later renamed the current European Football Championship in 1968, but Hong Kong and Macau still often refer to the tournament as the "European Nations Cup". The tournament is still often referred to as the "European Cup of Nations" in Hong Kong and Macau.
