The draw will be held on May 16 at 7 p.m. local time.
On May 16 at 7 p.m., during the lottery ceremony, the host will take out 14 ping pong balls numbered 1-14 and place them in a container. 4 balls will be drawn at random from the 14 balls, and a total of 1,001 possible combinations can be generated regardless of the numerical order, and by removing this 11-12-13-14 combination, exactly 1,000 will remain.
Prior to the draw, the teams that did not qualify for the playoffs have been ranked in reverse order according to their regular season records, and are given the corresponding number of combinations (probabilities) of winning the first-place pick. For example, if there were 14 teams that did not make the playoffs, the Eagles, the worst of the 14, would have 250 combinations, or a 25% chance of winning the first pick.
