Bologna are actively seeking reinforcements before the start of the new season, especially in the back line and midfield positions. With Serie A kicking off this weekend, Bologna have yet to finalize key reinforcements, but the team plans to accelerate the pace of reinforcements in the final phase of the transfer window.
Bologna's sporting director Sartori has a habit of making his mark in the second half of the transfer period. Last summer, he signed six new players between August 12th and September 1st. This year, Sartori plans to add fresh blood to the team through a similar strategy.
Bologna is reportedly interested in
Chelsea
of 25-year-old defenseman Trevor
Chalobah
Very interested. Chalobah plays mainly as a center back for Chelsea, but can also play as a right back and a full back. With Chelsea putting him on the wash list, Bologna are looking to bring in the player on loan, with Chelsea valuing him at no more than 15 million euros.
In addition, Bologna is also interested in Lille's 25-year-old Brazilian center back Alessandro. Alessandro made his debut for Lille in the UEFA Champions League qualification this week and helped the team to reach the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Bologna has offered 10 million euros for him. Bologna's other defensive targets include Toulouse's Logan Costa and Juventus' Rugani.
Aside from the back line, Bologna are also looking to bolster their midfield lineup. Head coach Italiano wants to have six suitable players in the midfield, while he currently has only five available players at his disposal. Bologna's midfield targets include Chelsea's Cassady, Sassuolo's Soltzvet, Antwerp's Mandela Keita and Wolfsburg's Franck
