Saudi Arabian powerhouse Ainas had Cron back in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 8 in the early hours of Tuesday (5). However, the Portuguese star's performance was disappointing as the home fans sang after a string of missed opportunities. The "Mace" song provoked Ainas to lose 0-1 to UAE powerhouse Al Ain.

For the 9th time in a row, Bo scored Cron. In league play, he came back after sitting in Bo jail. He was aggressive early on. He tried to invert his shot but missed; his counter-attacks intensified after Ainas stabilized their position. Lakianmi broke through the Ainas defense on 44 minutes.

Cron had a shot from a narrow angle that was parried, and then in the 53rd minute a shot from 10 yards in front of the goal went over the bar. In the 80th minute, Cron had a golden opportunity when he was left unmarked outside the penalty area and his shot was too high for the keeper to stop. Einars was also sent off in stoppage time for an elbow strike by Nabil Poldi, and the match ended 0-1.

Cron was provoked earlier by fans singing Mays songs. He calmed down, made an obscene comeback and was suspended. Today, he continued to be sung to by Iaan fans. "Mays" attacked him, but Cron learned his lesson well this time and just screwed his head back into the locker room after halftime without responding to the provocation.
