2022 Qatar World Cup stadium dimensions: 105m and 68m in length and width respectively.

The Roussel Stadium is the main venue for the World Cup in Qatar and will host 10 matches, with the more important 1/8 finals, 1/4 finals, semifinals, and finals all taking place in this venue, a large stadium with a capacity of 80,000 people.

Its design is inspired by traditional Arabian lantern motifs, and its facade is decorated with traditional Qatari vessels. With a floor area of 180,000 square meters, it is the world's largest single building with a double-span cable network roof, and the world's first World Cup stadium to apply BIM technology.

Ballpark tech assistance:

Twelve specialized cameras will be set up underneath the top of each Qatar World Cup stadium to track 29 items of data about the soccer ball and each player, and will collect the data at a high frequency of 50 times per second, thus confirming the exact coordinates of the ball and the players on the field. The coordinates of every part of a player's body will be recorded, which will ensure that offside penalties are more accurate.

According to the technology, a sensor will be placed inside the Qatar World Cup match ball "Al Rihla", which will send ball data to the video referee team at a frequency of 500 times per second to ensure that the timing of a player's touch is accurately determined.
