1, in the vast majority of leagues or intercontinental wars and even the World Cup, the red card, in the absence of additional penalties, the general natural suspension of one game.

2. In general, a red card suspension is only valid for the current series of matches, but there are still differences between different series regarding the validity of the suspension:

(1) LEAGUE: Generally valid only for the next game in the league, or if it is the last game of the season, the effectiveness of the suspension extends to the first game of the following season.

(2) National Cup: generally only valid for the next game of the Cup, and in the case of a red card received in the final, the constraints of the next suspension are automatically lifted.

(3) Intercontinental Cups and World Cups: e.g. European Cups, Asian Cups, etc., and World Cup suspensions are only valid for the next game of this Cup, and in the case of a red card in the final, the constraints of the next suspension are automatically lifted.

(4) Friendly matches: In general, friendly matches are played for one game only, so the suspension constraints are automatically lifted.

If two yellow cards are accumulated in a match they automatically become red cards and are suspended for this match and the next. The rules are different for different leagues if it's not the same game.

Serie A: automatic suspension for four yellow cards, suspended for one match. A direct red card is penalized with a one-match suspension.

English Premier League (EPL): The different suspension system currently in place is as follows: one game suspension for five yellow cards accumulated by April 12 of each season, and a further one game suspension for eight yellow cards accumulated; automatic one game suspension for a red card received for two yellows in a match. A player who receives a red card for two yellow cards in one match is automatically suspended for one match. If a player accumulates 11 yellow cards during the season, the EFL Disciplinary Committee will look at the penalties to be imposed, which will vary for each individual; if a player receives a red card for the second time during the season, one additional match will be added to the number of matches to which he is liable; if a player receives a red card for the third time, two additional matches will be added; red and yellow cards received by a player in reserve games will be carried over to first-team matches.

Liga MX: automatic one-match suspension for accumulation of five yellow cards. If you get a direct red card, you are suspended for one match according to the rules. But it can be appealed, and there are many precedents of successful appeals to cancel suspensions.

Bundesliga: Suspended for one game for accumulating 5 yellow cards. Direct red card suspension for one match.

Ligue 1: Suspended for one match for three yellow cards. Automatic one-match suspension for red cards.
