According to prominent journalist Romano
Manchester City midfielder
Calvin
Phillips (name)
Will join on loan
Ipswich (city in Croatia)
Romano confirmed the news with the iconic "here we go". Phillips is about to undergo a medical and a deal between the clubs has been finalized. The transfer does not include a buyout clause and if all goes well, Phillips will sign later today.
Calvin Phillips, 28, plays at the back and joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022 from Leeds United for a transfer fee of €49 million. He had a loan spell at West Ham United in the second half of last season, during which he appeared in 10 games. Phillips' current contract with City expires in 2028, and he is currently valued at €25 million on the der transfer market.
This loan move to Ipswich will provide Phillips with more playing opportunities and help him rediscover his form. Ipswich also hope to strengthen their midfield with this reinforcement to be fully prepared for the challenges of the new season.
