Recently, newly promoted player Lloyd Kelly, who joined Newcastle United, sang in public with a rendition of Adele's classic 'Someone Like You' and his cheeky performance drew laughter from those in attendance. Afterward, he quipped to himself, "It wasn't bad, but I'd have to give myself a five or six out of ten, I feel like I kind of 'dug myself a hole'." These words not only showed his humorous side, but also gave a sense of his relaxed attitude towards his new environment.
Speaking about the upcoming challenges, Kelly showed full confidence. He said that he was prepared for the competition for starting positions at Newcastle United with powerhouse players such as Boatman, Fabian Scherer and captain Lascelles. "There is a lot of competition for positions, which is natural because you are joining a club with clear goals and every position is open and needs to be fought for through strength." Kelly confessed.
He further said that in order to play a major role in this season, he has to be at his best at all times, both in training and in matches. "I have confidence in myself and believe that I have what it takes to excel this season, impress everyone and show what I can do to the fullest." Kelly said firmly.
Kelly also showed great anticipation for the upcoming season. "I know it's going to be a tough season and everyone in the team is aware of that, but we are all ready for the challenge." He added, "I'm really looking forward to playing alongside my teammates this season and winning more honors for Newcastle United."
