This winter window has been a disappointing one. The original deal for Westham's flanker Bin Wah Ma to join Lyon fell through due to an administrative error by the Hammers, and Lyon was furious and thought Westham's move was disrespectful.
What's going on? Lyon reportedly offered Westham a £15 million (HK$150 million) transfer fee to sign the 28-year-old Algerian international, and the two sides finally reached a loan agreement, but on the last day of the winter transfer window, Westham failed to enter the player's name into the FIFA TMS, causing the deal to fall through.
Lyon official released a statement, severely condemned Westham, and expressed incomprehensibility to the team's behavior, because the two sides have reached an agreement, Lyon even obtained the approval of the DNCG (National Fiscal Authority), and constantly reminded Westham to enter the information to the International Football Association's special system (FIFA TMS), but in the end, Westham did not do it.
