The station was unable to move on, as she fell to Russian player Pavlyuchenkova in the tournament and did not qualify for the Elite Eight. Earlier, Chin-Wen Cheng opened the North American hardcourt season with a 6-1/7-5 win over Fletcher in yesterday's bye and extended her 12-match winning streak.

However, in the following match, Zheng Qinwen ended her winning streak with a 5-7/1-6 loss to Olympic mixed doubles gold medalist Pavlyuchenkova. Despite not being able to move on, Zheng Qinwen's performance was still impressive, showing great competitiveness and potential as a newly crowned Olympic champion.

This loss may only be a temporary setback, and Cheng Chin-man will continue to work hard to meet more challenges in the future.
