Even with excellent contract and rehabilitation conditions at Tottenham Hotspur, he still responded to the call of Hajduk's management and fans, gave up the opportunity to reunite with his family, and resolutely returned to the embrace of his motherland.
Perisic stressed that he always sticks to the contract and promise, and goes all out to every game, both on and off the court. Even in the face of injuries and outside temptations, including generous offers from Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer and Qatar, he has never wavered in his loyalty to Hajduk. He revealed that he had refused the invitation of important clubs twice after the European Cup, just to help Hajduk tide over the difficulties. Regarding his experience in Hajduk, Perisic said that he had both regrets and gains.
