The final of the EFL Cup is in the books! Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Fulham in the early hours of Thursday morning (25th) was a 3-2 win over the two legs, making it a record 14th time to reach the EFL Cup final, and the 'Battle of Kings' on February 26th will be a battle for the title with old rivals Chelsea. Liverpool and Chelsea are meeting in the Cup final for the fifth time in the last 20 years, with each side winning two titles in the previous four finals.

Liverpool, who were leading 2-1 in the first leg, started the game with a solo performance by Luis Diaz in the 11th minute, pushing a shot from the left into the net. Fulham rushed to catch up, and in the second half, Liverpool's goalkeeper Killy Boots made a serious mistake in the 55th minute, but Anders Penninger's shot from a narrow angle bounced off the post; Fulham's 77th minute equalizer by Isha Diop was too little too late, and Liverpool progressed to the final with a total score of 3-2.

This is Liverpool's record 14th EFL Cup final, and if they win the Cup they will become the first team to win the Cup 10 times. Manager Gopper said after the match, "There were many things that made me happy, but at the end of the day, the most important thing was to get through to the final, and we didn't need to play flashy soccer on this great night, we played for the final, and we did it!
