In the early hours of Tuesday morning (12), Portugal beat Luxembourg 9-0 at home in a Group J match, the biggest win in the team's history. With C Ronaldo suspended, the task of "brushing data" fell to midfielder Bono Fernandes, the Manchester United star, who scored one goal and had three assists to help Portugal achieve a perfect result in Europe.

Against Luxembourg, Portugal led 4-0 in the first half, with Gancarlo Ramos and Gancarlo Ennascio scoring twice each, the latter's two goals were assisted by Bono Fernandes; Portugal became more and more excited in the second half, with Bono Fernandes handing in one more goal and one more assist, and Diago Zudar (2 goals), Zuofeleis and Leccadogrado Hedo scoring as well, and Portugal eventually won 9-0, breaking the old record of biggest win (8-0).
