Luton scored all 6 of his points plus his opponent's 6th point to beat his opponent 6-5 and take the lead in the match.

The team nicknamed 'The Hatmakers' are obviously a bit of an unknown quantity when compared to Bonhams and Sheffield United. It's no wonder, after all, that in 2014 they were still playing in the amateur 5th tier of the National League, but now they've done the amazing miracle of moving from the 5th tier to the top tier in just 9 years.

The 51st team in the history of the competition is naturally a brand new face, but with a long history of 138 years, it's not as if they haven't played in the top flight before. they also won the League Cup final against the Arsenal in the 1987/88 season.
1991/92 was Luton's last year in the English top flight. Then the Old English League was reorganized

The Caps were similar to the ancient Magpies. Similar to the Old Magpies, the Caps have moved back and forth between the 2nd and 4th divisions until the 2006/07 season, when they suddenly went downhill, dropping from the Championship three times in three years to the 5th National League, which is an amateur level.
It's a sad experience for Luton fans, but it's not hard to find some traces of history in the stadium slogans held up by the team's diehards. "Luton Town, founded 1885, betrayed by the FA 2008". This refers to the team's desperate situation when it was penalized by the FA. Due to serious financial problems, Luton went into government trusteeship in 2007/08 and were awarded -10 points, while in 2008/09, already in League Two, Luton had to start from -30 - 20 points for failing to pay off debts according to the plan, and another 10 points The team was found to have paid illegal fees to brokers.
After the nightmare of almost going bankrupt and closing down, Luton was then effectively under new ownership. Organized and initiated by British TV presenter Nick Owen, a local consortium called 'Luton Town FC 2020 Ltd' bought the club and started rebuilding it, but the team still had to pay a heavy price for the previous dynasty's faults, which is what made the local fans the most outraged. The Caps are clearly a team with backbone, though, and they even won their 2nd cup while being relegated to the 5th tier - the English Football League Championship (featuring teams from League One and League Two, and inviting some of the

In the 14 years from 2009 to 2023, Luton has gone through many changes. Apart from the fact that Luton Town FC 2020 is still at the helm (with a slight adjustment to internal shareholding), the squad that was at its lowest ebb in those years has long since disappeared.

There have also been eight changes of ownership, including a change of club chairman. A further 50,000 shares in the company are held by local fans' organizations, so Luton can be considered a club that is truly run by local diehards, and has not risen to prominence due to the backing of mega-rich gold-diggers.
After 3 play-off defeats (1 for AFC Wimbledon, 2 for York City), Luton's magical journey began in 2013/14 when they won the National League title and returned to League Two. The two consecutive jumps to 2017/18 League Two runners-up and 2018/19 League One champions have been miraculous. These four years in the Championship show that Luton didn't come out of nowhere, their success in the Premier League was based on the setback of finishing 6th in the Championship in 2021/22 and being knocked out of the play-offs by third-placed Huddersfield.
Coming into 2022/23, Luton's efforts this whole season were finally rewarded with a hard fought pass and a very dramatic win. Firstly, the team experienced a mid-season

The maelstrom of Southampton poaching (though sadly a bit too much of a leapfrog to be sacked in a short space of time) tested him, but he left a decent points base, and then Luton made the bold appointment of Rob Edwards, who had been sacked by arch-rivals Watford in September last year, for a second spell, and the result was that the 40-year-old former Welsh central defender backfired and took the team to a higher level.
Luton doesn't have any overwhelming advantage in the Championship compared to the helicopters, Bonhams and Sheffield United. Their 3-quarterback system makes them very solid in defense, with only 39 goals conceded in 46 rounds and ranked 2nd in the Championship after Bonham's 35 goals, but their attacking power is also weak, with only 57 goals scored in 46 rounds, which is the least among the top 6 of the Championship, and their firepower is very concentrated. Last summer, Carlton Morris was recruited from Barnsley, who was relegated to League One, and he not only scored 20 goals in 2022/23, but is also the team's assist leader.
