After Tottenham Hotspur's 4-0 win over Everton in the 2nd round of the Premier League, Everton manager Sean Dyche spoke to the media, commenting on his team's performance and talking about the struggles the team is currently facing.

Dyche began by acknowledging his team's difficulties in two consecutive games: "Two tough games in a row, we had two misses last week and another one this week. Tottenham Hotspur are a team that are capable of scoring goals all over the pitch and we were clearly not strong enough to hold them off. We're in a difficult position at the moment but that's no reason to make excuses for our defeat."

He went on to express his expectations of the players and the challenges facing the team: "I have high expectations of these players and they are capable of doing better. But we must recognize that there are still many challenges to overcome. We are working within the guidelines that work, but our expectations go far beyond that. We've been underestimated many times before but we've come through and I'm sure we can this time too."

When asked if more players will leave the team, Dyche's answer revealed a hint of helplessness, "This soccer club is in turmoil and I can't predict what will happen in the future. But no matter what, we need to stick together and face the difficulties ahead."
