After Tottenham Hotspur's 4-0 win over Everton in the 2nd round of the Premier League, Everton player Tarkowski spoke to the media, reflecting deeply on his team's performance and expressing his outlook for the future.

Tarkovsky began by candidly pointing out his team's shortcomings in the game: "I could make excuses here and say that it was all because of injuries, but it's not as simple as that. We did give away a couple of goals to our opponents and there's no getting away from that fact. Pickford has been our team player of the season for many years, but everyone makes mistakes, myself included, and I've probably made more than most."

He went on to emphasize the importance of the team needing to stay healthy: "We want everyone to stay healthy because a healthy body is the foundation of the game. Today, we actually had a good squad but the performance fell far short of expectations. This reminds us that we have to put up a better performance on the field to win the game."

In response to the team's current problems, Tarkovsky offered a clear direction for improvement: "We have to stop conceding goals and start scoring goals. Defense is the foundation of the team, but offense is equally important. We need to find a way for the team to excel in both offense and defense. We are trying to become hard to beat, but it is clear that we need to do more."

Finally, Tarkovsky expressed his confidence in the team's future, "I've been here for a couple of years now, and we've been through a lot of tests, and we've survived every one of them. I'm sure this time will be no different. This is a new test, but we'll face it together as a team. We need to push through and come out stronger."
