Chelsea, who have failed to win two matches in the Premier League season, continue to make a big splash in the transfer market. According to transfer authority Fabrizio Romano, the Blue Warriors have agreed to pay 16 million euros (about HK$136 million) for New England Revolution goalkeeper Petrovic, which will break the record for the most expensive goalkeeper in the United States.
Chelsea let go of two goalkeepers in the summer, Edoardo Aventis and Aleksandar Banaga, and signed Roberto Sanzis as No.1. 23-year-old Serbian international Berdych will join the competition, and both sides will sign a 7-year contract. The Serbian starlet is also reported to be a target for Man Utd, but Chelsea will be the first to take advantage of the situation.
