Tottenham Hotspur didn't play quite as brightly in their first game since officially entering the post-Hallikani era, but considering the visit to Binford wasn't an easy one, I'm sure they'll be happy with a draw.
I saw some bright spots in the game for Spurs, leader Pusdiguero knows the system and style of play he wants to implement in the team, and with the Halikani transfer fiasco officially behind us, Spurs will be able to put their focus back on the pitch. Sometimes the departure of a big name player can galvanize an entire team, and a leader of Puzdiguero's caliber will certainly use this to his advantage to ignite the players' passion for the game.
New signing James Maddison was excellent last time out behind the striker, a position of weakness for Man Utd, so I expect him to capitalize on that on Saturday and make Spurs shine again. He's very good at finding space and making sure the ball is turned, and likes to be the first to make a quick pass to his teammates up front, including the ever-impressive Son Heung-min, and Richard Lithen, who has played in this position for Ewarton.
As for Richarlison, I expect him to shine at Tottenham this season. He's the kind of player who needs to feel loved and needs help, and he doesn't have to live in the shadow of Halikani anymore, so I think we'll see the Brazilian international return to his brave self.
The only area I'm worried about is Tottenham's performance on defense. In the short term, I think the best centerpiece in the squad is Kristian Romero, but it looks like he will miss Saturday's game against Manchester United with a concussion. In the long term, I think they need to find a centerpiece that is good and has proven to be able to play in the Premier League. Speaking of Harry, the Red Devils also have a player named Harry in their squad (Harry Makouni), would he be a good fit for Tottenham?
As for Man Utd, I'm sure their leader Tannhäuser will feel relieved after their close win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Red Devils didn't seem to be able to keep up with the tempo of the game, creating limited chances on offense and a messy defense, but they still managed to pick up the 3 points in the end.
In my pre-season review, I mentioned that Masonmont's positioning was unclear, and it showed in the last game. Wolves played through the middle of United's midfield with ease on a number of occasions during the game, and I expect him to be up for it on Saturday, as Tottenham won't be wasting their chances like Wolves. I'd expect to see Garnacho or Anthony Maffeos relegated to the bench, with Mason Monty on the wing, and either McTominney or Kirsten Ellison in the starting lineup, along with Kasimiru in the midfield to make more defensive stops.
Rashford lacks support on the pitch, and pushing Gonufinandis forward to support him will help solve the problem. We saw in Monday's game that Gonufinandis is superior in this position, and even though he failed to score at the end, it was his clever pass that helped his team to win all three points.
