Arsenal has officially announced the signing of Binford goalkeeper David Raye on loan. The 27-year-old Spanish international claims to have the ability to play in other positions and seems to be doing everything he can to get a chance to play.

It is reported that Arsenal will first pay a loan fee of £3 million (about HK$30 million) to Brentford, and will have the right to buy out David Laye for £27 million (about HK$270 million) next summer. Laye, who is 1.86 meters tall, played 39 matches for Brentford last season and kept a clean sheet in 12 of them, making 154 saves in the Premier League, which is the highest among goalkeepers of all teams.

In addition to his excellent gatekeeping skills, David Lahaye claimed after signing the contract that he has the ability to play other positions: "When I was playing in the Spanish 3rd division, I used to play in a position other than goalkeeper, and I used to score goals, and I used to play five-a-side soccer, so I'm not bad at controlling the ball now," he said.
