Ewarton, who survived relegation last season, are looking to add to their ranks before the start of the campaign. They are actively pursuing the signing of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Igidiqi, hoping to sign him on loan and then buy him out for a buyout fee of GBP30 million (about HK$300 million), which is a huge sum for Ewarton.
Ewarton only signed Ashley Younger for free this summer, and Villarreal winger Kurt Gornewetter's transfer fee was only £2.6 million (about HK$26 million). They have been trying to get Igidiqi, who is an important acquisition for the team this season, and reports indicate that the two sides are having in-depth discussions, and that Ewarton is hoping to sign the striker before Dormont does.
