Bayern earlier made a third offer for Halikani, with a transfer fee of up to 100 million euros (about HK$860 million), but was vetoed by Tottenham Hotspur's chairman David Levy. Bayern decided to make a fourth offer, raising it to 110 million euros (about HK$946 million), but it never reached the 100 million pounds (about HK$1 billion) price set by Levy.

Bayern has made 3 offers for Halikani, from the initial 70 million euros (about HK$600 million) to 100 million euros (about HK$860 million), but Tottenham Hotspur did not budge. Earlier on, Bayern even set up a "dead line" for this deal, but the result is still disregarded by Levy, and Bayern has no way of determining the price.
