Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Carney's move to Bayern Munich this summer is likely to be answered soon, with Tottenham Hotspur's legendary shot-stopper Leniga, a veteran of the game, urging his successor to leave his parent club and go out to other leagues to make a name for himself.
The 62-year-old Leniga, who was born in Leicester City and played for Ewarton, moved to Barcelona in 1986 but had a mediocre season before playing for Tottenham Hotspur from 1989-92, scoring 80 goals in 138 appearances, said: "I think Harry Carney is going to leave, and so he should, and it's the right time for him to leave Tottenham Hotspur. Harry Carney has scored the most goals in the history of Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team, but soccer is all about winning team championships, not individual records. I don't see Tottenham Hotspur finishing in the top 4 of the Premier League in the coming season, and if Carney goes to Bayern and doesn't win the championship, he'll be the king of the black boys from hell.
