Jamaica's chances of advancing to the Round of 16 are still pretty good ahead of their last round Group F clash with Brazil.
Jamaica beat first-time Women's World Cup finalists Panama 1-0 on Saturday, with captain Cavendish Chassell missing, thanks to a header from Alyson Swaby to secure their first-ever final-week win for the national team.
I'm sure Jamaica will be full of confidence this time around, but they'll need to play well defensively against Brazil, who will be trying to score on counter-attacks and dead-ball attacks. The Swaby sisters will be the centerpiece of the team, while Spurs goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer will need to keep her form up. I think another Tottenham star, Du Spence, will play an important role in the midfield, controlling the team's offense.
As for their opponents, Brazil lost 1-2 against France after beating Panama in the first round of the group stage, so I think they will be under pressure to win this match to secure their qualification for the round of 16. I think Brazil will need to be more efficient in attack, especially with wingers Avery, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Panama, and Adiana, who missed a good chance to score against France last time out.
