In a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian soccer star Capello gave his insights on the recent situation of several players and clubs, covering a number of hot topics such as Taremi, Junior Conceição, Napoli, Atalanta and Dybala.
On Iranian striker Taremi, Capello said he recognizes his ability, but noted that his current understanding with his Inter teammates needs to be improved. "Taremi is undoubtedly an outstanding player, however, we have yet to fully appreciate his full highlights." Capello said, "As a regular in the Champions League, Taremi has not yet looked good enough to integrate at Inter, especially with Junior Thuram. However, in terms of overall performance, he has done quite well."
Talking about Juventus' youngster Conceição, Capello, on the other hand, spoke highly of him as a potential prospect in the wing position. "Junior Conceição is a very imaginative and talented player and Juve really need such fresh blood on both sides." Capello noted, "As for Motta, he seems to be happy with the current state of the team, but Juve still have room for further strengthening in the transfer market."
For Napoli, Capello is looking forward to the reunion of Conte and Lukaku. "Conte finally got the center forward he always dreamed of, Lukaku, which will undoubtedly greatly enrich Napoli's tactical system." Capello said, "In addition, the addition of Neres adds more possibilities to the team. Now, Conte can really show us the Napoli he has in mind."
Capello was equally appreciative of Atlanta's reinforcement strategy. "Atlanta brought in Villa Nova, which is an excellent signing." He said, "If Luqman ultimately chooses to stay with the team, then this Atlanta team will be even more powerful and should not be underestimated. They are steadily building a competitive team."
Finally, Capello also spoke about Dybala's new life at Roma. "I'm happy for Dybala and the Roma fans, but it also poses a considerable challenge for my friend De Rossi." He said, "How to rationalize the playing time of players like Dybala, Sule, Dovbic and Pellegrini will test De Rossi's coaching wisdom. Like the selection dilemmas I faced in the past when I coached Batistuta, Totti, Montella and Cassano, I wish De Rossi all the best."
