After a stellar performance in the just-concluded Copa America, leading Colombia to a 0-1 defeat to Argentina and a second-place finish, the individual was named the best player of Copa America 2024.

Jairo, 33, was released from his contract with Barclays Premier League side São Paulo in August. 2010. He made his debut in European football, joining Porto, before moving on to Monaco, Real Madrid, Bayern and Everton.In 2021, Jairo left Everton to join Qatari side Rayyan, before heading to Olympiacos.In June 2023, Jairo joined Barclays Liga's São Paulo as a free agent.
