Premier League giants Liverpool are pressing ahead with a transfer deal with La Liga side Valencia for Mamardashvili, according to a new report from renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The two sides have agreed on the basic framework of the transfer fee, which is €35 million plus a resale clause, but are still in advanced negotiations over the exact structure of the deal.

Romano revealed that in order to speed up the process of the deal, Liverpool have arranged a new round of contacts and the two sides will hold another meeting soon to further discuss and finalize the details of the deal. This shows that Liverpool hold a very high interest and determination to sign Mamardashvili and hope to complete the transfer as soon as possible.

It's worth noting that, as previously reported, the deal also contains an important secondary transfer split clause. This means that if Mamardashvili is sold by Liverpool to another club in the future, Valencia will be entitled to a share of the transfer fee. The inclusion of this clause undoubtedly adds to the complexity of the deal and the difficulty of negotiating it, but it also shows that both sides share a common understanding of the player's future value.

Furthermore, Romano confirmed that Mamardashvili will not join the team immediately after his move to Liverpool. Instead, he will remain in Valencia on loan for at least a year. This arrangement is a good way for Liverpool to ensure that the player continues to grow and improve in a familiar environment, while also avoiding an excessive impact on the squad due to the player's sudden departure.
