Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has been in the transfer market for a while now, has identified Paris Saint-Germain as his preferred destination, according to RMC Sport's renowned journalist Hawkins. However, despite Osimhen's decision, Paris Saint-Germain have yet to make a move to push through the transfer.
Hawkins further reports that Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli FC, has shown more flexibility in the transfer of Osmeen. Previously, De Laurentiis had insisted that any club interested in Osmeen would have to pay up to €130 million in liquidated damages to take the Nigerian striker. But now that stance seems to have loosened, with De Laurentiis no longer insisting on such a high price, which opens up more possibilities for a move for Osmeen.
Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, the giants of European soccer, have both shown strong interest in Osmeen. However, as things stand, Paris Saint-Germain seem to be closer to becoming Osmeen's new owners. According to reports, Osmeen is not keen on the idea of joining Chelsea and would prefer to wear the Paris Saint-Germain kit and play for the Ligue 1 giants.
However, despite Osmeen's preference for Paris Saint-Germain, the transfer process has not gone as smoothly as he would have liked. Paris Saint-Germain have been relatively slow to act, and have yet to formally present a concrete transfer offer or proposal to Napoli. This makes the prospect of Osmeen's transfer full of uncertainty.
In addition, Osmeen is in talks with Saudi club Jeddah National. However, the two sides have yet to agree on a salary, which makes the transfer equally challenging. Jeddah National, despite their wealth, are still unsure whether they can meet Osmeen's salary demands and successfully convince him to join the Saudi League.
