Crystal Palace wing Werfeldt Sachs was rumored to have been selected by a number of Saudi Arabian giants after his contract expired this summer, but the 30-year-old Ivory Coast international finally decided to join the Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray and has arrived to undergo a physical test, receiving a hero's welcome and instantly transforming himself from a Premier League second- or third-tier player into a superstar.

Werfeldt Sachs, who was born in the Crystal Palace youth system, moved to Manchester United in 2013, but was not utilized, and then returned to Crystal Palace, where he has been playing for the London team for the past nine seasons. Crystal Palace once offered Wifertsasha a weekly salary of 200,000 pounds (about HK$2 million) to extend his contract, but he refused it, and also rejected a 9 million-pound (about HK$90 million) annual contract offered by Saudi Arabian giants Ainas, and opted to join Galatasharay as a result.

Werfelt Sachs was welcomed by a large number of fans upon his arrival in Turkey, and Galatasaray also arranged an introduction ceremony to interact with the fans, which was a great success. It is reported that Werfeldt Sachs will sign a 3-year contract with an annual salary of 8 million pounds (about HK$80 million). Galatasaray is the champion of the Turkish Super League last season and will be able to participate in the coming UEFA Europa League, which is believed to be one of the reasons attracting Werfeldt Sachs to join the team.
