Canada and Ireland, who are also aiming for their first win in this year's Women's World Cup, will go head-to-head in this round's Match 2 Group 1.

Canada missed out on becoming the first player to score in all six Women's World Cup finals with a 12-yarder from Kristian Sinjaya in their first group stage match, and ended up with a 0-0 draw with Nigeria. The 40-year-old will be hoping to score a goal in this tournament to achieve that feat.

Striker Jordyn Hedima may have lacked goal-scoring prowess in the opener, but she was a threat throughout the game and could cause problems for Ireland, while midfielder Keane, who plays for the Imperial Monarchs, covers the team's defense.

Ireland, who are making their debut in the final week of the Women's World Cup, lost their first match against co-hosts Australia 0-1. They were able to hold off the Australian attack in the early stages of the match, and then threatened Australia even more, a good performance that will boost their confidence heading into their second group stage match of the tournament.

With Katie McAbee's excellent crosses and Lourdes Keen's height advantage and aerial presence in the box, I expect Ireland to have a chance to test Canada's defense in a free kick attack.
