Panama, after making it to the finals, will be in the early hours of Monday (17th) morning to fight with Mexico for the championship title.

The United States, with a newcomer at the helm, has no advantage over Panama in this match, and the two teams will have to play extra time with no records. Panama broke the deadlock in the 99th minute with Ivan Andersen, and the US equalized six minutes later with top scorer Jacey Ferrara. After exchanging 12-yard shots, each team missed a shot in the first five rounds, and Panama scored the winning goal by Carla Skylar in the sudden-death phase when the US's Kirsten Lourdes was entertaining the visitors to the tournament, making them the finalists in the Cup of Nations since 2013.
