According to The Athletic and other media reports, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is set to be offered a deal by Saudi Arabia's Ittifaq, the team that hired Xherat to coach him, offering him a £700,000 (HK$7.12 million) deal. With such an attractive offer, there is nothing wrong with a move, but Jordan Henderson was criticized by fans for "selling out his soul" after he strongly criticized the human rights issues in Saudi Arabia and Qatar last year.

The 33-year-old midfielder has a two-year contract with Liverpool, but Ittifaq is willing to increase his current £190,000 (about HK$1.93 million) weekly salary to £700,000 a week. Sources say Jordan Henderson will make his intentions known to Liverpool within the week, after which the two clubs will negotiate a transfer fee.
