Chelsea beat Wolves by a massive 6-2 scoreline away from home in a tight second round Premier League clash last weekend, and Portuguese striker Felix spoke to the club's officials after the match to share his deep feelings about the game and his return to Chelsea.
Felix couldn't hide his joy as he first expressed his excitement about returning to the Premier League and representing Chelsea: "It feels great! I'm delighted to be representing Chelsea in the Premier League again, and I'm very happy with the performance of the whole team. Winning is the most important thing for any team, but I'm personally happy to have played and scored."
Talking about his return to Chelsea, Felix used the word "home" to describe his sense of belonging: "Back at Chelsea, it really feels like my home. Whenever I put on the Chelsea shirt and step on the pitch, I am full of confidence. Whether it's the atmosphere of the club, the facilities at the training ground, the passion at the stadium or the support of the fans, I'm impressed and that feeling has become even stronger as I return."
Felix also shared his happiness at Chelsea: "I can't really put into words why, but here I just feel happy and comfortable. Outside of Portugal, Chelsea has given me a sense of home that I rarely find elsewhere."
On his performance in the game, Felix gave special thanks to his coach for his trust and support, "Coach has given me a lot of confidence and he put me up front in this game against the Wolves with clear instructions to look for openings on the right side of the field and play smart with teammates like Palmer and Nkunku. Our team has a lot of offensive options and it's exciting for me to be a part of it."
Finally, Felix looked to his future and expressed his loyalty to the team, "No matter what position the coach puts me in to play, I will give it my all because I only have one goal and that is to help the team win. This win is definitely the perfect start to my Chelsea career and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the team in future matches."
