According to mainland media reports, after Argentina, led by Mays, visited China in June to play a warm-up match against Australia in Beijing, which earned the organizer a whopping 50 million yuan (about HK$54 million), Chinese companies are scrambling to follow suit by inviting Mays' US professional team, Inter Miami, to visit China for three exhibition matches, with one company offering US$15 million (about HK$120 million) to play the game. The company is also offering $15 million (about HK$100 million) in play money.
It is reported that Inter Miami has received invitations from 3 Chinese companies to visit China, one of them has offered $15 million to arrange for Inter Miami to play 3 matches in January or February next year, probably in Beijing, Shenzhen and another big city in China.
