With Erling Haaland, and Julian Alvarez's money from South America, the frontcourt is overflowing, and with Jesus in the final year of his contract, parting ways this year makes sense for both sides.
He was offered an olive branch by the Arsenal, coached by Pep Guardiola's former assistant coach Mikel Arteta, who offered £45 million for the player with only one year left on his contract.

Nothing to complain about; and an acceptable price for the arsenal ...... Uh, at least, much cheaper than Ben White?
The Arsenal has finally found the striker they've been looking for, and Jesus has all the qualities that Arteta craves in a striker.

Many fans have been less than thrilled with Jesus, but he's had his share if not the credit. His biggest strength in keeping prospect Sergio Aguero on the bench during his honeymoon period of joining was his pressing energy up front.

The first full season of the program began with Jesus on the
Average number of snaps in front of the field
Topping that statistic on a very consistent basis. Over the course of five seasons, he has been ranked 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd on the team (the qualification for this ranking is 900 minutes or more in a full season). The players who have pressed the ball more aggressively than him are Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne, who has been given the roles of a pseudo-number 9 and a traditional number 10 respectively in the last two years.
It's not just forcing the ball, but Jesus also stands out more than the average striker in other defensive stats, as evidenced by fbref's comparisons: a perfect 99 points in forechecks, 88 points in blocks, and 96 points in interceptions. And since Jesus has been able to achieve these results with fewer opponents holding the ball (the number of forechecks, even with a team-leading group, is still on the low side at 46), it's very likely that Jesus' defensive stats will improve when he joins the Arsenal.
The Athletic cited smarterscout's database to give Jesus a nice report card for his defensive performance this season: 99 out of 100 for Ball recoveries & interceptions, 84 out of 100 for disrupting opposition moves, and 91 out of 100 for defending impact; 68 out of 100 for Aerial duels quantity, and 91 out of 100 for frequency of overhead contests. 84 points, defending intensity (defensive aggressiveness) 94 points, defending impact (defensive impact) 91 points; Aerial duels quantity (frequency of overhead scrambles) 68 points, is a relatively poor short version. And, the benchmark for comparing these scores is the right wing, which means there's a chance that Jesus' scores would be higher if he were at the less defensively demanding forward position.
Pressing forward is a role that is becoming more and more defined in modern soccer with the wave of high pressing, and Jesus is a classic example of this role.
Being Guardiola's choice of striker, I believe I don't need to use too many statistics to prove the part of linking up in front of the net.
Ferran Torres has a good nose for goal and I think he's more forward than Gabriel when he plays as a center forward, Torres tends to move more towards the goal while Gabriel likes to drop back a bit. The team needs to score more goals these days, so we need to make more runs towards the goal.
By focusing the passage on Jesus, one is able to realize that

Trust in his linking up front. And
"Melon Square" (footballer)
The vision is naturally the same as what the numbers show. The Athletic's analysis is mentioned in the previous paragraph, and Jesus' scores in this section are excellent: 87 for link-up play volume, 88 for ball retention ability, 87 for xG from shot creation, 68 for xG from ball progression; 12 for progressive passing, 12 for carries & dribbles, and 12 for carries & dribbles. 87 for ball retention ability, 87 for xG from shot creation, 68 for xG from ball progression, 12 for progressive passing and 32 for carry & dribble volume, two of the traditional winger's best skills, leaving the forward-born Jesus The two best categories for traditional wingers were dwarfed by Jesus, who is a striker.
