Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has spoken about the transfer market this summer and expressed his surprise that central midfielder Eze has failed to attract interest from more teams. Despite being widely expected to be the favorite in the transfer market, Eze was not the case, which surprised Parish.

Parrish revealed that he had been mentally prepared for the possible loss of Eze and another young player, Oliseh, as both showed great potential and talent. However, Oliseh's successful move to Bayern Munich, which brought no small amount of glory to the club, and Eze's relatively quiet situation, was unexpected.

Parrish emphasized that Eze is not only a technically brilliant footballer, but his personal qualities are equally praiseworthy. He believes that Eze's lack of interest may be a misunderstanding or underestimation by the market, after all, such a player can play an important role in any team.

Meanwhile, Parish also talked about the club's attitude towards the development of young players. He said that Crystal Palace is willing to be a bridge to the top flight for young players, but will also respect the players' dreams of pursuing a higher stage. If the players believe that staying at Crystal Palace will limit their career development, then the club will not force them to stay.

Regarding the club's future plans, Parish said he hopes to participate in the Champions League, but for now, this goal is still far away. However, he believes that through continuous efforts and the introduction of good players, Crystal Palace will be able to realize this dream one day.

In addition, Parish also mentioned Arsenal's brief interest in Eze, but ultimately they opted to take Sterling on loan from Chelsea. This decision perhaps reflects the complexity and volatility of the transfer market and proves once again that Eze's unique value in the transfer market has not been fully realized.
