In a recent interview with Manchester United officials, newcomer Derek De Ligt showed his strong belief in the team's future and his infinite desire for victory. As one of the most important additions to United's center back position this summer, the addition of Derek Hurt and Jolo has undoubtedly injected new vitality and strength into the team's back line. Facing the fierce competition in the team, Derek Hurt is particularly excited, and he firmly believes: "In Manchester United, you can't rely on just 11 players to achieve your goal, and you need to have two or even more good players in each position. This competition will push each of us to become stronger as we need to prove ourselves the best every day in order to help the team win games."

Looking back at last season, United suffered a number of challenges due to injuries, but this summer's strengthening efforts have resulted in a significant improvement in the team's strength. De Ligt is confident in the integration of United's young talent and senior veterans, he believes: "We have a group of very talented young players, but also have experienced veterans in the team. If these two forces are blended effectively, United will have an indestructible squad."

Talking about working with Ten Hagar again, De Ligt couldn't hide his excitement. He said bluntly, "Coach Ten Hagar is very important to me, and we built a deep trust during our time at Ajax. He knows me and I know him. He has given me great confidence and the courage to lead the team. I have benefited from his rigor and high standards, both on and off the training ground, he pays attention to every detail and this professionalism is exactly what I am looking for."

On his decision to join Manchester United, de Ligt said, "Manchester United is one of the greatest clubs in the history of English soccer and it is an unbelievably honorable moment for me to join such a legendary team. The sincere invitation from the club and the coach was hard to turn down and I look forward to showing what I can do in the Premier League."

Looking ahead, de Ligt is confident in United's ambitions. He confessed, "United's goal is to get the team back to the top of the Premier League table, which is a goal that requires a concerted effort from the whole team to achieve. I believe that as long as we give our best in every training session and continue to improve our strengths, we will be able to go further in all competitions. I am very much looking forward to this journey at Manchester United and hope to win more title honors for the team."
