Belgian soccer club Brugge has become the odd man out in the UEFA Europa League! Brugge beat Sporting Madrid 2-0 in the early hours of Wednesday morning (5) to become the first Belgian team ever to win all three of its first matches in the UEFA Europa League, which has never been won by a team that has gone out of the competition after winning the first three rounds, so Brugge has a good chance of breaking through.
After the draw for the group stage, everyone was optimistic about the three top teams, namely Sporting Madrid, Porto and Livaguson, and Bruges was regarded as one of the runners-up. However, the BPL powerhouse has been a pleasant surprise, winning 1-0 at home against Livaguson, then defeating Porto 4-0 on the road, and winning 2-0 at home against Matilda in the current match.
Liverpool (England)
Goalkeeper Milo Llette has not conceded a single goal in three matches, a far cry from last season when he conceded 20 goals in six group matches!
Spanish striker Zugna, who joined Barcelona this season, said after the game: "It's very special to beat a Spanish team. I'm grateful to Bruges for giving me a chance to taste the UEFA Europa League, but will Bruges be out of the competition? I don't know! We have 3 important matches coming up. In the same group, Porto won 2-0 against Livaguson, Sporting Madrid, Porto and Livaguson all have 3 points each, so it's a tight competition.
