In Group A3, Hungary beat traditional rivals Germany 1-0 with a scorpion goal by 34-year-old Szczeslár, giving them a 12.5 times ATS win.
Hungary are 2 points clear of 2nd place Italy after their win, and can win their next match against the Italians.

Germany could have moved to the top of the table with a win, and with the geographical advantage, they should have taken the initiative, but they failed to do so in the 17th minute of the match. Hungary scored from a corner kick with a scorpion shot by Sch Schaerer at the near post with his back to the goal, which was a very difficult shot, and the German keeper, Darmstadt Sturgeon, couldn't have predicted that he would be able to do that, and could only look on to see that the ball was in the net.
Germany's performance was still not good after they fell behind, and there was only one shot on goal by Lilezini after 30 minutes of play. After the change of sides, German striker Diemwana had a good chance to score, but his shot was not strong enough and was confiscated by Gulasch.
Although Germany possessed more offensive power in the second half, they were only scratching the itch and failed to create a threatening goal, eventually losing 0-1.
