Paris Saint-Germain loaned out German midfielder Dassner to Benfica for a year this summer, making Dassner the highest paid player in the Portuguese Superliga.
Dassner's annual salary of 7 million euros is only average at PSG, much lower than the trio of Kilian McBarbee, Nima and Mezes, but it is top of the range in the Portuguese Superliga, where clubs are generally not wealthy enough to afford such expensive players.
