After officially joining newcomer Hubayr Qudsia in the Saudi Professional Football League, Spain's former Real Madrid defender Nacho opened up in front of the media, sharing what he has seen and felt in this new chapter of his career, as well as his expectations and plans for the future.
Speaking about his new team, Nacho couldn't hide his excitement: "I'm looking forward to the program at Al Khubayr al Qudsiyah, which is a brand new start, attracting a wide range of international players and promising Saudi homegrown players. This is not only an unprecedented experience in my career, but also a stage full of hope for the future. I am eager to pass on the valuable experience I gained at Real Madrid to these young players and help them grow faster both technically and mentally."
Referring to his collaboration with sporting director Michel, Nacho said, "Michel is an old friend for me, we crossed paths during our youth training days at Real Madrid. When he offered me the olive branch, I accepted the offer with little hesitation. We share a common passion and goal, and this understanding will be the cornerstone of our joint efforts to create great results for the team."
In terms of adapting to a new environment, Nacho admits that he is feeling very happy: "I was eager to experience a different culture and way of life, and Saudi Arabia has given me the opportunity to do so. Everything here is new and exciting for me, and my family and I are enjoying the treatment and atmosphere, and we feel very happy."
Nacho has a clear understanding of the Saudi Arabian League: "I am aware of the competition in this league, which has grown in recent years and attracted many high-level players. Although the team I'm joining is not traditionally a strong one, we are rapidly improving by rebuilding the team. I believe that as long as we are united and understand each other, we will be able to show our strength in the game."
Talking about the proud moments of his career, Nacho does not hesitate to vote for the present: "I am proud of every moment I have spent at Real Madrid, but even more fulfilling is the title I helped my national team win this summer. And now, I'm standing on a new starting point, fighting for the honor of Hubayl Cudicia, which is an equally important chapter in my career."
Finally, Nacho addressed the topic of player leadership, "Leadership comes naturally, it stems from your desire to win and your selfless dedication to the team. I hope to inspire my teammates through my actions and performances, and together we can win the trophy that belongs to us for Hubayl Cudicia."
