Simple and direct style of play

When people think of Brazilian Samba, they probably think of Neymar or the team that played for

Liverpool (England)

Coutinho, with his exquisite and magnificent footwork, completes wonderful and magnificent passes again and again; or on the side road, he will deliberately slow down the pace of the attack and wait for his teammates to go forward, and then use his excellent vision of passing to create threatening passes to impact the opponent's penalty area.

But these traits don't seem to be as evident in Raphinha as they are relative to the previous two (Neymar & Coutinho), other than excellent passing vision and creativity.

The author believes that Raphinha's style of play is more direct and one-dimensional.

Raphinha has a knack for utilizing his ball handling and instant acceleration to make simple, clean breaks down the flanks. During his time at Leeds United, Raphinha's right side was heavily relied upon in Bielsa's tactical system for both counter-attacks and attacking play, resulting in the Brazilian averaging 4.5 dribbles per game, with a good success rate of 2.6 dribbles per game (57.78%).

Creativity on the Edge

Definitely one of the top reasons why major giants are looking at Raphinha. With 0.21 xA (Except Assist), 1.9 Key passes per 90 minutes, and 5.22 progressive paases, Raphinha is one of the best in his position, and even comparable to other teams' attacking midfielders.

The ability to shoot from distance is also a major reason why opponents must be wary of Raphinha. During the season, Raphinha has averaged 2.5 shots per 90mins, 1.4 of which have come from outside the box. And in both 20-22

Only Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse (9) has scored twice more than the Brazilian (7) from outside the box during the season. (Of course JWP's free-kick feats are just awesome).
