The World Association of Football Players (FIFPro) released on its official website on Wednesday (6) that due to the fact that China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Greece, Libya and Romania have always been in arrears of wages in recent years, it has issued a transfer alert to the above countries, reminding a group of players to avoid going to the local workplace, and encouraging them to seek help from the Association.

FIFPro firstly mentioned Romania and Turkey in the statement, saying that the problem of defaulting on players' wages in these two countries has existed for a long time and has been recurring, and that the number of teams that have recently gone into bankruptcy has been on the rise, which has pushed the players into a never-ending bankruptcy process, without even having the chance to receive any compensation, which has led to serious consequences.

In addition to this, FIFPro also pointed out that many teams in the Greek second division often fail to repay their debts and close down, and revealed that in the past two years, local players have been selling their football to the world.

The number of players seeking assistance from the FIFA Player Protection Fund is the highest in the world. FIFPRO is also worried about players staying in the region as many Libyan teams have refused to provide foreign players with their return documents.

As for China, Algeria and Saudi Arabia, they also have the same problem of non-payment of wages, except for Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic which withdrew in May due to financial problems.

China Super League (soccer league)

Ronaldo Deaconu, a Romanian striker who plays for Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic in China's Central League, has also reportedly been owed wages for half a year and has recently terminated his contract with the club and filed a complaint with FIFA.
