There are 54 UEFA members participating in the UEFA Nations League for the 2024/25 season.

The tournament is divided into four leagues, from A to D, based on the teams' results in the UEFA Europa League in the 2022-23 season.

A-League:

A-League Champion and Runner-Up: will play in the Home and Away Quarterfinals, with the winner advancing to the Final Four.

Other levels of the league:

The fourth-placed team of the B League: automatic relegation to the C League.

The two fourth-placed teams with the lowest rankings in the C-League: relegation to the D-League.

First place in each of the 4 groups of the B and C leagues: automatic promotion to the next league.

Third place in A-League and runner-up in B-League, and third place in B-League and runner-up in D-League: there will be a home-and-away elevation match.

The two best fourth-placed teams in Division C and the two runners-up in Division D: will play a play-off to qualify for a better division.
