Born in Barcelona, Piqué is a retired Spanish professional footballer. He played almost his entire career for La Liga club Barcelona as a center back. It is worth noting that Piqué's maternal grandfather was a Barcelona

On July 1, 2004, Manchester United of the Premier League brought in Gerard Piqué from Barcelona. He made his debut for Manchester United in a cup match on October 26, 2004 against Crewe.
