In a recent interview, former Manchester United interim manager Ralph Rangnick revisited one of his famous assertions during his time at the club two years ago - that United needed a "heart operation". This view seems to have been somewhat validated after his departure with the team's struggles in the early part of the season.

Ronnick recalled, "I probably said something like that two years ago towards the end of the season, when I thought United needed to make fundamental changes, like heart surgery, to completely fix the core problems of the team." His words reveal a deep insight and helplessness about the current state of Manchester United.

Interestingly, current United manager Eric Ten Hag was asked a similar question a few weeks ago. Instead of dodging the question, Ten Hagar directly expressed his agreement with Rangnick's analysis, "Coach Rangnick's point of view is correct, United really needs to undergo a profound change to reshape the team's mental outlook and athleticism."

Rangnick further stated, "I'm not sure how many new players the club has signed since I left United, but judging from the current situation, my judgment at that time doesn't seem to be wrong. What United need is not just a change of players, but a rebuilding of the entire team culture and tactical system."
