In the latest issue of Inside United, the official magazine of Manchester United, Moroccan defender Mazraoui opens up and shares his unique upbringing and how he was determined to embark on a career in professional soccer without signing a contract. His story is full of challenges, determination and relentless pursuit.
Mazravi recalls the early days of his career, when he faced great uncertainty. He admits, "As I grew up and became more mature, the probability of my success was still 50%. I went to play professional soccer without signing a contract, and it was like standing on the edge of a cliff, either succeeding or falling, because at that moment, there was no turning back." This "give it your all or give up" attitude has been Mazrahi's motto throughout his career.
He further explained that at the age of 18-19, he faced a critical turning point in his career. It was then that he stopped dwelling on past accomplishments or getting stuck in his current predicament, and instead focused all his energy on how to move forward for that coveted professional contract. "I don't look back anymore, only forward." Mazravi stated firmly, "I have one goal and that is to become a professional soccer player. Because I feel so close to success, I can almost smell it. If I don't succeed, it will be the regret of my life and I can't accept that."
Mazravi's story is an inspiration to every young man who loves soccer. He used his own experience to tell everyone that success does not happen overnight, but requires great efforts, courage and determination. In the face of difficulties and challenges, only by persistently pursuing one's goals can one finally stand on the stage of one's dreams.
Today, as a member of Manchester United, Mazrahi is continuing to write his own legend on the green field. His story will also become a bright landscape in Inside United, the official magazine of Manchester United, inspiring more fans and players to go forward.
