On June 25, 2024, the Los Angeles Lakers officially announced that JJ Redick has become the 29th head coach in team history. Redick, who is 40 years old, is making his NBA head coaching debut. His player career 15 years (2006-2021) has played for the Maverick, Pelicans, 76ers, Clippers, Bucks and Magic and other teams, 940 regular season games averaged 12.8 points, three-point hitting rate of 41.5%, career 1950 three-point ranked 20th in history.
